Design Requirements

If you'd like us to design your print-ready artwork for you, please email or WeTransfer the following info to orders@printforge.co.za using your order number as a reference:

• High-resolution logo artwork.
• High-resolution photos or graphics.
• CMYK or Pantone colour references.
• Exact copy (text) that will be used in the design.
• Clear instructions on what content (text, graphics, photos) will go on the front/back or each page of the design. *Prices include 2 reverts ONLY so please ensure your initial brief is comprehensive.
• Examples of supporting marketing materials (website, other print media) you have used before that will give us brand guidelines.

Please adhere to the following artwork requirements when submitting your artwork for print:

Once your artwork is submitted, we'll email you digital proofs for approval before printing your order. Please note that digital proofs are never 100% accurate in reproducing the colour of your final print but are provided as an opportunity for you to approve layouts, bleed, crop marks and final copy (text).

• Artwork to be supplied with CMYK or Pantone (Spot) colour references. Please note that although we do our best to match Pantone colour references, we cannot guarantee 100% colour accuracy for the digital printing process.
• Artwork supplied for black and white printing needs to be in grayscale format. Documents containing CMYK, RGB or Pantone (Spot) colours will be converted to grayscale for black and white printing.
• All artwork needs to include 3mm bleed.
• All content that should not get cut off (Images, text etc) should be at least 5mm from the edge of the trim marks.
• Spelling and legibility is the responsibility of the artwork supplier and not that of Print Forge.
• All fonts need to be embedded, expanded or converted into shapes/outlines.
• Images used in the artwork need to have a resolution of at least 250dpi.
• Artwork needs to be supplied in either PDF, Adobe Illustrator (Ai), Adobe InDesign (Indd), Adobe Photoshop (PSD) or Jpg. Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint do not create print-ready documents.
• Documents that are double-sided like booklets and folded artwork are to be correct at the time of supply. Print Forge is not responsible for layout alignment or sequence of pages.
• If we become aware of any inconsistencies or problems with the artwork, we will contact you. Print Forge cannot be held responsible for any errors.
• Please note that there is a 32MB upload limit on our website. If your artwork exceeds this size, please send your artwork via WeTransfer to orders@printforge.co.za using your order number as a reference which will be generated automatically and emailed to you on completion of your order.
